Carl Millen
passed away-14th December 2006,
Aged 16 years,
student at lord lawson of beamish school, Birtley
Carl was sadly in a car accident in November 2006 and was rushed in to intensive care where he stayed for over three weeks, whilst being looked after and operated on several times. After carls final operation and announcing he was on his way to recovery, the nurses noticed he had developed internal bleeding. Reluctant to operate again, the QE decided it was best to send Carl to the RVI, where a specialist team were on stand by. Unfortunately the team were not able to locate the internal bleeding. As Carl had had so many blood transfusions, this meant his blood was unable to naturally provide the clotting agents to stop the flow. Carl sadly passed away at 7:30 am on Thursday 14th December. Our loss is heavens gain.
Please could everyone spare a thought for Graham as he has a heavy heart to carry through the rest of his life. Accidents happen and fate will run its course.

miss you
Hi Carl. It's been a while since I last wrote on here, although I haven't wrote on here it never means I stop thinking about you. I have been thinking alot about you recently in the past month so thought I would let it out a little. Sometimes when I sit and think you pop into my head and i get upset but really i shouldn't get upset because you were such a wonderful person for me to know and such an inspiration to many people, in my eyes you were a hero. The memories I shared with you will never fade. Please don't forget. We all miss you and love you, see you up in heaven. Thinking of your mam and dad today too, what wonderful people they are. Thinking of You
Hey mate just wanted to say I am thinking of you and your family today. The last four years have flown over so quickly and it doesn't get any easier. Take care buddy love Dave xx
Hey mate
Hi mate I want to firstly apologise for not writing to you more often, the last 3-4 months have been very busy with work and I haven't really had time for myself never mind anyone else. If I am honest I hadn't thought of leaving you message until last night when I watched a programme which was concerned with roadside memorials and their significance to those loved ones who have lost a friend or family memeber to a road traffic accident. Its terrible that such a programme prompted me to both think and write you this message. Time is not a healer of wounds but a coping mechanism, I know this because my wounds have not healed but I am coping with the fact that you are no longer with us and that I wont ever here your voice again or here the wonderful music produced by your guitar. Mate you are terribly missed by many people and we can only remember the good times we shared with you, hold those memories close to our hearts and share our stories with future generations so that you are never forgotten. You are always in our thoughts day and night mate please watch over your mam and dad and give them strength when they need it but also provide comfort when they're down. God bless love you always.
